How Can You Verify That a Lawyer Is Real?

To practise law in Türkiye, a lawyer must be registered with a bar association, and bar registers are public. You can check Av. Kaan Karanfiloğlu yourself:

Official notifications are served by post or electronic notification under Notification Law No. 7201; an official notice never arrives only as a WhatsApp message.

We Have No Connection With Similarly Named Offices

Karanfiloglu Law Firm has no connection with any other office or person using a similar name (for example names such as “Karanfil Hukuk”). Requests made under such names are not made on behalf of our firm.

What Should You Do If You Received a Suspicious Message?

  1. Do not pay.
  2. Do not share any code. Keep SMS codes, your e-Devlet password and card details to yourself.
  3. Call us to check. Ask on +90 532 659 35 11 whether the message came from us. Use the number on this page, not the one in the message.
  4. Keep the evidence. Save screenshots, the sender's number or account, any IBAN given and receipts.
  5. Report it. You can file a complaint with the police, the gendarmerie or the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office (Cumhuriyet Başsavcılığı). If you have already paid, inform your bank without delay.
  6. Report the fake account to the platform using its own reporting tool.
